between dreams and nightmares (2007)

for solo flute

between dreams and nightmares explores my experiences with the border of pleasant and not so pleasant dreams. This piece is my first for a solo instrument outside of piano, and in it I used the various colors of the flute to show that everything is not necessarily as beautiful as it originally appears.
